Armenian Consul in Erbil as Guest of Syriac Museum

On Tuesday 14 January 2025, Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, and Syriac Heritage and Museum Director Bernard Youssef received the Armenian Consul in Erbil, Antranik Haroutionian, at the Syriac Heritage Museum in Ankawa District Centre.

The guest toured the museum’s corridors and viewed its contents and heritage collections that represent our people’s patrimony and culture in the Tigris and Euphrates Valley, as well as various other regions in the homeland. He expressed his admiration for our people’s ancient heritage, praising the work of the General Directorate and Syriac Museum in preserving this ancient Middle East people’s culture.

At the end of the meeting, the two parties exchanged souvenirs, with Oghanna presenting the visiting guest with a copy of issue 52 of Banipal magazine, which is issued quarterly by the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts. In turn, the guest presented his hosts with a copy of a book that talks about the Republic of Armenia and its people’s culture and heritage.
