On Monday 29 July 2024, the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, received Fr. Yatron Younan, the parish priest of St. George Assyrian Church of the East in Diyana, at the Directorate’s building in Ankawa District Centre.
In their conversation, the two parties discussed the most prominent activities and events organised by the General Directorate in the various areas where our people are present, and the importance of developing and strengthening relations between our people’s institutions with all their religious and social orientations. Additionally, Oghanna stressed that the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts’ doors are open to cooperation with all our people’s institutions, in a way that serves our heritage and culture.
