Fouad Shimoun, Director of Administration and Autonomy at the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts, participated in the launching ceremony of the fourth annual Youth Festival “Sons of Peace Meeting” of the Syriac Orthodox Church in Iraq, on Friday 22 September 2023, in the presence of a number of bishops, priests, and a crowd of young people.
On behalf of the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts, Shimoun received the honorary festival award presented by Bishop Nicodemus Matta Sharaf, metropolitan of the Syriac Orthodox Diocese of Mosul, Kirkuk and Iraqi Kurdistan, to the General Directorate in appreciation of its efforts in supporting the festival and other cultural activities.
