On Wednesday 25 September 2024, a delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government’s General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts visited the Ankawa Social Youth Club to offer congratulations on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of its establishment. There, they were received by the club’s president, Kenar Basa Braimok.
The visiting delegation included General Director Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, the Syriac Heritage and Museum Director Bernard Youssef, and a number of the directorate’s employees. The delegation offered its congratulations on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the club’s establishment, and expressed its wishes for success and prosperity to the administrative body and all members of the club.
The two parties discussed enhancing the prospects of joint cooperation in holding future activities to serve our people’s youth, stressing the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts’ role in spreading cultural awareness and preserving our people’s heritage in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
