The General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts’ Syriac Library participated in a special booth displaying Syriac books and publications at the Sixteenth Annual Erbil International Book Fair, which will be held for the period 17 to 27 April 2024, at the International Fairgrounds in Erbil and under the slogan: “Read… Your intelligence is not artificial.”
The Syriac Library’s special corner included publications from the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts, which came within the wing designated for the Culture and Youth Ministry, in order to promote Syriac books and Ministry of Culture publications that are concerned with the cultures and arts of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region’s various national and religious components.
It is worth noting that the 16th Annual Erbil International Book Fair is held in cooperation between al-Mada Foundation for Media, Culture and Arts and the Culture and Youth Ministry in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, with the participation of more than 300 publishing houses from the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, as well as Arab and foreign countries.
