Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, accompanied by the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Regional Government, Anu Jawhar, and the representative of the Regional Government in Washington, Tarifa Aziz, visited the Chaldean Community Foundation in Detroit, on the sidelines of their participation in the annual dinner party held by the Foundation in the city of Detroit, in the American state of Michigan, on Saturday 23 September 2023. The delegation was received by Martin Manna, President of the Foundation, and a number of administrative body members.
During the visit, Oghanna gave the Foundation a copy of the achievements of the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts, accomplished during one year, under the ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
Oghanna, accompanied by Jawhar and Manna, also met with the President of the Chaldean Cultural Center in Detroit, Judy Jonah, and the Center’s Executive Director, Weaam Naamo, on Monday 25 September 2023, where the two parties discussed cooperation mechanisms and ways to exchange experiences, as well as discussing organizing joint events between the Center and the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts.
It is worth noting that the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, had participated in the annual dinner held by the Chaldean Community Foundation in the city of Detroit, in the American state of Michigan, on Friday 22 September 2023.
