The Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Culture and Youth honored artist Francis Daoud in a ceremony it organised to salute a group of the most important musicians in the Region, on Monday 28 August 2023, in the hall of the Erbil International Hotel.
The ceremony was attended by Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, accompanied by a number of the Directorate’s employees. During it, the ministry honored the following composers: Sabah Zakhoy, Salah Raouf, Jatto Newroz and Francis Daoud, who is one of our people.
It is worth noting that Francis Daoud was born in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate in 1946, in which he completed his elementary and intermediate studies and graduated from the Teachers Training Institute.
