On Friday, June 16, 2023, the Child Culture Department of the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Kurdistan Regional Government distributed gifts to children and students of Christian education in Shaqlawa district, Erbil Governorate.
The distribution ceremony was attended by the shepherd of the Shaqlawa Church, Father Anis Yaqoub Sola, in addition to the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts, Chaldo Ramzi Ogna, Director of the Syriac Heritage and Museum, Bernard Youssef, and a number of the Directorate’s employees.
During its visit to the city of Shaqlawa, the delegation visited the library and museum of Deacon Michael Mansour, and was briefed on its holdings. The delegation expressed the Directorate’s readiness to cooperate in preserving its contents.
