On Wednesday 29 May 2024, the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, received academic Medhat Al-Bazi, coming from Australia, at the directorate’s building in Ankawa District Centre.
The two parties discussed the Syriac cultural reality in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and the role of the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts in this regard. At the same time, Oghanna indicated that the Directorate’s doors are open for cooperation with all individuals and cultural institutions inside and outside the country, to advance and develop the Syriac cultural reality.
