At the End of this Month… Oghanna Lectures at the World Religious Freedom Conference in Washington

At the end of this January, the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, will participate in the activities of the International Religious Freedom Conference, IRFSummit2024, which will be held in Washington, D.C., for the period 30-31 January 2024.

Oghanna will lecture at sessions of the World Religious Freedom Conference, speaking about the Middle East through the eyes of minorities, as well as addressing societal support and resilience mechanisms to preserve diversity in the East.

Oghanna also received an invitation to participate in the American National Day of Prayer Breakfast, next February 1, in which US President Joe Biden, members of Congress, as well as leaders and representatives of 140 countries from all over the world will participate.

It is worth noting that the National Day of Prayer Breakfast is an annual event that the President of the United States attends with world leaders in Washington to talk about faith. The origins of this event go back to an idea that came from a pastor belonging to the Protestant Methodist Church.
