On Wednesday 5 June 2024, the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, received a delegation from Bakhdida’s Kinnara Orchestra, headed by Fr. Duraid Barbar, at the directorate’s building in Ankawa District Centre.
The two parties discussed prospects for joint cooperation and the possibility of holding a concert in Erbil on the occasion of World Music Day. At the same time, Oghanna indicated that the Directorate’s doors are open for cooperation with all our people’s individuals and institutions in a way that serves them and develops their skills and capabilities.
It is worth noting that World Music Day falls on June 21 of each year, during which music festivals are held all over the world.
