On Friday 17 May 2024, the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Kurdistan Region, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, opened an art exhibition on the sidelines of the Ornina Arts Academy’s first anniversary, held at the Oreve Hall in Ankawa.
The festivities included a performance in which the Academy’s students participated, in addition to a solo performance by the Academy’s graduating students, as well as an art exhibition in which dozens of Academy students participated, the last of which was opened by the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
It is worth noting that the Ornina Academy, which is based in the city of Ankawa, offers courses in drawing, music on various instruments, performing arts and vocals, in addition to learning all kinds of dance, especially ballet and all other arts.
