On Sunday 30 June 2024, the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, as a spokesman for a Syriac Writers and Authors Union delegation, visited Fr. Behnam Sony together to check on him after the health problem that he had experienced.
During the visit, Oghanna praised Fr. Behnam Sony’s priestly and literary career, which helped in revealing the Syriac literary arena through valuable works and books, wishing him a permanent recovery to the arena in the near future.
The delegation included members of the Syriac Writers and Authors Union, among them writer Nimrud Qasha, poet Noel Boulos, and poet Yousif Kabbo.
