On Friday 8 December 2023, a delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government’s General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts visited the headquarters of the Syriac League in Lebanon, where they were received by the League’s President, Habib Afram, and its Secretary-General, George Asyo.
During the meeting, they talked about the conditions of our people in the Levant and ways to support them to remain in the land of their fathers and grandfathers despite the circumstances and tragedies facing the region, as Director General Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna confirmed that the Directorate is fully prepared to cooperate with all Syriac cultural and artistic institutions in Iraq and neighboring countries.
The directorate’s delegation included its general director, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, and director of Syriac Heritage and Museum, Bernard Youssef.
