On Tuesday 27 August 2024, the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, participated in the closing ceremony of the Sixth Annual Turkmen Cultural Festival, organised by the General Directorate of Turkmen Culture and Arts in Erbil.
The festival’s closing ceremony included Turkmen folkloric songs performed by Turkmen artists, as well as poems in the Turkmen language recited by a number of Turkmen poets, some of whom the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts participated in honouring.
The ceremony was attended by Erbil Governor Omid Khoshnaw, and a number of those interested in Turkmen cultural affairs in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
