Khaldo Ramzi Oghanna, Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts, participated in the closing ceremony of the seventh cultural and sporting festival at Mar Gewargis Church – Diyana on the evening of Saturday, 26 August 2023, in the presence of Mar Abris Youkhanna, Bishop of Kirkuk and Diyana, and Patriarchal Auxiliary of the Assyrian Church of the East, Mar Aprem Athniel, Metropolitan of Syria, and a crowd of participating youth.
The General Directorate’s Syriac Arts Ensemble presented a number of dance shows at the closing ceremony, which also witnessed the events of the final football match between the teams of al-Rafidayn and Hazar-Jot. Then the General Director of Syriac Culture and Arts participated in distributing prizes to those who participated in the various competitions of the festival.
