On Monday 22 January 2024, a delegation from the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts, headed by its Director General, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, visited a number of official institutions and departments in Ankawa, in order to thank and appreciate their efforts in supporting the Ankawa Christmas Festival, which was held late last December.
The visit included the Ankawa Asayish Directorate, Mayor of Ankawa Municipality, Ankawa Electricity Maintenance Department and Ankawa Traffic Division. During his meeting with the officials of these institutions, Oghanna appreciated their great role in the success of the Ankawa Christmas Festival activities in each of its locations, and presented awards of appreciation to them in honour of their efforts.
During the visits conducted by the directorate’s delegation, Oghanna stressed the importance of cooperation between institutions for the success of such public events that are held annually in Ankawa.
The visiting delegation included the General Director of Syriac Culture and Arts, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, member of the festival’s supreme authority, Sarmad Jalal, and a number of the directorate’s employees.
