On Monday 18 March 2024, a delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government’s General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts visited the Mayor of Qushtapa District in Erbil, to extend congratulations to Mayor Bajar Malakhidr on the occasion of his assuming the position.
The visiting delegation included Director General Keldo Ramzi Ogna and a number of the Directorate’s employees. The delegation offered congratulations to the Mayor on the occasion of assuming the position, and wished him success in his new duties.
It is worth noting that the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Interior Ministry had decided, in May 2023, to upgrade the Qushtapa subdistrict, located south of the city of Erbil, to a district.
