On Sunday 5 April 2024, a delegation from the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts, headed by Director General Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, visited the headquarters of the Syriac Orthodox Archdiocese of Mosul, Kirkuk and the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, in order to offer congratulations on the occasion of the Feast of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead according to the Eastern Julian calendar.
The delegation was received by the archdiocese’s pastor, Mor Nicodemus Daoud Matti Sharaf who, during his speech, praised the activities and events organised by the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts, and in which our people gather to adhere to their roots, history, and land, stressing the importance of cooperation between our people’s institutions in the homeland.
In turn, Oghanna stressed that the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts’ doors are always open to cooperation with all our people’s various institutions, in a way that serves the Syriac culture and heritage.
