On Monday 6 May 2024, a delegation from the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts visited the Ankawa Social Academic Centre in order to offer their congratulations on the nineteenth anniversary of its founding. The delegation was received by the head of the centre’s administrative body Jalal Habib, and a number of the body’s members.
During the visit, the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, praised the Social Academic Centre’s role in events and festivals organised by the General Directorate, stressing the importance of cooperation between our people’s institutions in activities that urge them to adhere to their land. He also indicated that the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts’ doors are always open to cooperation with all our people’s institutions.
The visiting delegation included Director General Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, Syriac Library Director Fayhaa Shamoun, Administration Director Fouad Shamoun, and a number of the Directorate’s employees. During the visit, the delegation offered their congratulations to the centre’s administrative body, and wished them success in serving our people.
