On Friday 1 December 2023, the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, visited the Charity Bazaar held by the Semiramis Charitable Organization in cooperation with the Chaldean Culture Society, at its hall in Ankawa, where he was received by the organisation’s director, Louisa Daoud.
During his wander through the corridors of the bazaar, Oghanna stressed his support for heritage works and handicrafts, as well as the pioneering role of women in local product projects of a heritage and charitable nature, which has a great impact on preserving our people’s heritage and passing it onto future generations.
The bazaar activities included a number of performances and musical interludes, in addition to the participation of a group of young people of both genders in displaying their handmade products, which added an artistic, cultural and youthful touch to the bazaar.
