The General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Kurdistan Region mourns the theater artist, the pioneering artist (Azaduhi Samuel), who lay in the hope of resurrection on February 24, 2023 after a struggle with illness.
The General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts honored the late artist during her seminar work on the role of Syriacs in Iraqi culture / Suleiman Al-Sayegh course in 2012, with a golden necklace bearing the seminar’s logo, in appreciation of her artistic career full of creativity and distinguished works. Azadohi Samuel, was born in 1941 and is considered one of the first pioneers in the march of Iraqi art in general, and theater in particular. She presented many distinguished works on television and theatre.
