On the evening of Thursday,18 May 2023, the activities of the Open Book Fair in its second session, organized by the Syriac Library of the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts of the Kurdistan Regional Government, for the period May 17-18, were concluded in Ankawa district in Erbil Governorate.
The last day of its activities began with a paragraph for children presented by the Sinbad Library for Books, followed by an artistic session by the Ornina Academy. Then, a signing ceremony took place for the book “Convolutions of Autumn Dreams” by Dr. Samir Khorani, which was presented and presented to the audience by Youssef Kabo.
After the book signing ceremony, the band (Mosuliya Roots) performed a musical segment that entertained the audience, followed by a dialogue session moderated by the journalist Samer Elias Saeed with the participation of (Akkad Murad, Sabah Mikhail Barkho and Evan Jani), which focused on (the role of book fairs in creating a state of readers influencers).
The exhibition concluded its activities with another musical segment by Rouzouliyya Band.
It is worth noting that the first day of the Open Book Fair, in its second session, witnessed the signing of the book “The Grapes of the Vine” by Father Curiakos Hanna, which was presented and introduced to the audience by the poet Salah Sarkis.
