On Monday 26 February 2024, the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, received musician and former Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Denmark, Albert Issa, at the directorate building in Ankawa District Centre.
During the meeting, they talked about the reality of Syriac music and the possibility of holding workshops related to music for our people’s musicians, as Oghanna stressed that the directorate’s doors are open for cooperation with all relevant Syriac cultural and artistic individuals, as well as institutions.
It is worth noting that academic Albert Issa held the position of assistant professor of political sciences and diplomacy at the Lebanese French University, and is the former Iraqi ambassador to Denmark.
