Oghanna Continues Tour, Visits Assyrian Democratic Movement’s Sydney Branch

On Saturday 15 June 2024, the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, continued his tour in Australia, with his visit to the Sydney branch of the Assyrian Democratic Movement, at their headquarters in the Fairfield area of ​​Sydney, accompanied by a delegation from the Yonan Hozaya Centre for Research and Future Studies, including Adib Goga, Adil Danno and Medhat al-Bazi.

The delegation was received by Emmanuel Sada, administrator of the Movement’s Sydney branch, and a number of the group’s members. There, the two parties exchanged talks about our people’s cultural and national reality in the homeland, as well as the importance of preserving and developing the Syriac culture and language.

During the meeting, Oghanna stressed the importance of joint cooperation between our people’s institutions in the homeland and the diaspora, as well as working together to uphold and develop our people’s culture in both domains.

It is worth noting that the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, is visiting Australia at the official invitation of the Yonan Hozaya Centre for Research and Future Studies and the Suraya Cultural Forum, to discuss our people’s cultural and artistic scene in the homeland, through a number of events and meetings that bring him together with our expatriate people there.
