On Wednesday 24 April 2024, the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, visited the headquarters of the Beirut Chaldean Catholic Diocese at the Our Lady of Divine Mercy Centre, where he was received by the Diocesan Bishop, Mar Michel Qassarji, Fr. Youssef Khaled, and the Diocesan Media Director, Ms. Mira Qassarji.
During the meeting, the importance of joint cooperation between our people’s institutions in the East was emphasised. Oghanna explained that the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts’ doors are open for cooperation with all our people’s institutions in the region.
On the sidelines of his visit to the Beirut Chaldean Chaldean Archdiocese, Oghanna visited the diocese’s St. Thomas Centre and met with the teaching staff, who talked about the work that they provide in serving the children of the parish, which includes Iraqi children of our expatriates there.
