On Monday 6 May 2024, a delegation from the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts, headed by Director General Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, visited the headquarters of the Adiabene Diocese of the Ancient Church of the East, in order to offer congratulations on the occasion of the Feast of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ according to the Eastern Julian calendar.
The delegation was received by the patron of the diocese, Mar Shimon Daniel who, during his speech, praised the activities and events organised by the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts, and through which it urges our people to adhere to their roots and their land. At the same time, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna confirmed that the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts’ doors are always open to cooperation with all our people’s institutions, in a way that serves our heritage and culture.
The visiting delegation included Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, Syriac Library Director Fayhaa Shamoun, Administartion Director Fouad Shamoun, and a number of the Directorate’s employees.
