On Tuesday 17 December 2024, Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, received Lebanese artist and singer Layal Nehme, at the Directorate’s building in Ankawa District Centre. She is set to participate in the launching ceremony of the Fourth Annual Ankawa Christmas Festival’s activities, which are held in conjunction with Christmas and New Year’s.
In their conversation, the two parties discussed the most prominent activities and events organised by the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts, and the importance of preserving our people’s heritage and culture, along with ways to develop it in Iraq and the region. Oghanna stressed that the General Directorate’s doors are open to cooperation with all institutions and individuals, in a way that serves our heritage and culture.
The Ankawa Christmas Festival’s organising committee recently announced Lebanese artist and singer Layal Nehme’s participation in the launching ceremony of the fourth annual festival’s activities, which will be held on the 20th of this month, with the additional participation of the Ankawa Chaldean Catholic Church’s children’s choir.
