Within the activities of the opening of the Iraqi Theater Festival in its sixth session, and in appreciation of the efforts of the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Kurdistan Region in supporting the Syriac theater, the Director General, Keldo Ramzi Oghanna, was honored with the Iraqi Creativity Shield, this evening, Thursday,16 March 2023, at Al-Mansour Theater in the Celebrations Square in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad. In the presence of the advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minister for Culture Affairs, Aref Al-Saadi.
Oghanna confirmed in a speech while receiving the award that the Syriacs are the pioneers in the theater, and that this award we present to the spirit of Azadohi Samuel and to the spirit of all the Syriac pioneers of the Iraqi theater.
The General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Kurdistan Region has received an official invitation to attend the activities of the Sixth Iraqi Theater Festival, which will last until the sixteenth of March 2023.
