On 19 April 2024, the University of Dayton, Ohio, hosted the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, at the invitation of Professor Alda Benjamin, in an internal training class among students, via an interactive online conversation, to talk about the importance of cultural heritage in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna was hosted by the History Department at the University of Dayton in an internal training class among students, to talk about the importance of documenting the cultural heritage of components in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. As such, Oghanna described that Iraq forms a mosaic and a diverse inlay, pointing to the importance of pluralism and coexistence and the impact of digitising heritage in preserving global cultures and their documentation.
