On Sunday 3 November 2024, the Director General of Syriac Culture and Arts in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Kaldo Ramzi Oghanna, received writer and author Nazar Hanna al-Derani, at the Directorate’s building in Ankawa District Centre, in the presence of writer Peter Hormuz Nabati.
The two parties discussed the Syriac cultural reality in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, with Oghanna providing a brief explanation about the General Directorate of Syriac Culture and Arts’ activities, as well its contributions to supporting and developing our people’s cultural reality, during the meeting. At the same time, he stressed that the General Directorate’s doors are open to cooperation with all individuals and relevant cultural institutions.
